High Sky Children’s Ranch Emergency Shelter provides children who are experiencing foster care with a temporary placement while long-term placement options are secured. Our children range in age from 0 to 17, allowing sibling groups to stay together.

We strive to provide each child in our shelter with nurturing care, stability, and security during a distressing time in their life. Caregivers are trained in trauma-informed care practices that prepare them to address each child’s unique needs with understanding, compassion, and grace.  In addition to meeting basic needs for food, clothing, and shelter, we promote participation in age-appropriate recreational and leisure activities.

While at High Sky, each child is assigned a Case Manager who oversees their medical, behavioral, and mental healthcare needs. They also work closely with the schools to ensure academic needs are being supported.
